Researchers Publish 'Zcash-Style' Design for Private Bitcoin Transfers

Researchers have proposed a Zcash-style protocol that could enable private Bitcoin transfers without requiring changes to Bitcoin’s base layer. The design reportedly uses zero-knowledge proofs and an auxiliary system to conceal transaction amounts and participants while settling in bitcoin. If practical and secure, it could expand Bitcoin’s privacy capabilities, but adoption would depend on implementation maturity, wallet and exchange support, liquidity, and regulatory acceptance.
