Is Bitcoin Quantum-Safe Now? One Transaction Says Partly

A recent Bitcoin transaction embedded a post-quantum/hybrid signature scheme, showing it is technically feasible to create outputs that resist quantum key-recovery attacks. However, this was a one-off demonstration—not a network-wide change—and addresses that reveal existing ECDSA/Schnorr public keys remain vulnerable. The key implication is that Bitcoin can be made partly quantum-resistant today through careful signature choices, but widespread protocol updates and adoption are required before the ecosystem is broadly safe from future quantum adversaries.
