[alloc] init unveils Shielded Bitcoin for Zcash-style privacy without protocol forks

Alloc Init has unveiled “Shielded Bitcoin,” a proposal to add Zcash-style shielded transactions to Bitcoin without changing the base protocol through a soft fork. The system reportedly uses existing Bitcoin capabilities alongside client-side and off-chain mechanisms to conceal transaction amounts and participants while preserving Bitcoin settlement.
